• TISHOMINGO -- Services for Roy L. Sharp, 63, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Clark Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Jonathan Smith officiating.

Interment will be at Tishomingo Cemetery. Sharp was born May 13, 1936, at Madill, to Lee Roy and Virgie V. Duncan Sharp. He died Nov. 2, 1999, in an Oklahoma City hospital.

He moved to Johnston County in 1956 and worked more than 30 years for Thurman's Feed and Seed Store, which later became Cole¹s Farm and Ranch. He had been a member of Oklahoma National Guard and Ravia School Board.

He and Barbara Sue Black were married March 17, 1956, at Madill.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, Jerry Sharp, Russett, and Terry Hughes, Tishomingo; three daughters, Virgie Pitman, Tishomingo, Gayla Sharp, of the home; and Christie French, Kingston; a twin sister, Betty Bell, McKinney, Texas; a grandchild; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Odie Stroud. Bearers will be Jerry Sharp, Terry Hughes, Gary Pitman, Dale Tyler Jr., Melvin Farmer and Trevor French. Honorary bearers are Dale Tyler Sr. and John Henry Davis.
