PLEASE READ THIS FIRST

This cemetery list is an ongoing project, being compiled by Nova A. Lemons. The information was originally typed from the manuscript by DeLois Coffman Fry and compared against the published cemetery book and the information I (Nova A. Lemons) copied at the cemetery. Information in RED contains additional data and corrections gleaned from the cemetery book. Information in BLUE indicate that the entry was not found in the book, perhaps due to the death dating after the list was compiled in Jan 1984 or the grave marker added at a later date. It is also possible that the marker no longer exists.

Information obtained from the Johnston County history book and from family members and researchers are in GREEN. The 1930 Johnston Co., OK (Garner Twp.) census was also consulted.

Lastly, the information was compared against what has been posted on “Find A Grave” website for Russett Cemetery which includes photos of some markers as well as additional information submitted by contributors. Additional information from this website is in PURPLE.

[Additional information by Nova A. Lemons: Cecil Leon Arterberry, son of

Walter and Elvira (Tillson) Arterberry, married Ada Posey. After his death, Ada

remarried to a Wolfe. The Arterberrys lived in or near Madill. The boys,

Anthony R. and Jeremy L., were sons of Junior Leon and Christine (Lee)

Arterberry and died in a trailer house fire. Cecil Don Arterberry was son of Cecil

Eugene and Anita (Brown) Arterberry. Junior Leon, Cecil Eugene and Virginia
